Amy C. Williams

Counsel

Amy Williams’ concentration is commercial leasing of office, retail, mixed-use, and industrial properties as well as providing counsel for associated asset management matters.  Ms. Williams has significant experience representing developers and institutional portfolio owners.

Prior to joining Sheley & Hall, P.C., Ms. Williams was Counsel for Cousins Properties Incorporated.   In this role, she provided lease documentation services for the entire Cousins portfolio.  She also provided legal oversight for 4 million square feet of real estate and advised internal clients, joint venture partners and lenders with leasing and asset management issues.

From 1998 to 2005, Ms. Williams fulfilled a variety of legal and non-legal roles at Jones Lang LaSalle Americas, Inc.  Ms. Williams was Associate Counsel for Jones Lang LaSalle, where she negotiated management, leasing and other agreements between Jones Lang LaSalle and Fortune 100 Companies.  Prior to joining the Jones Lang LaSalle’s Office of Corporate Counsel, Ms. Williams was an Associate for Jones Lang LaSalle’s Tenant Representation Group, where she provided tenant brokerage services to Fortune 100 Companies.  Before joining the Tenant Representation Group, Ms. Williams was a Senior Attorney for Jones Lang LaSalle’s Retail Group, where she negotiated leases and provided asset management assistance for Jones Lang LaSalle’s retail clients.

Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle, Ms. Williams was a Commercial Litigation Associate with Reid & Riege, P.C. in Hartford, Connecticut. 

Ms. Williams received her B.A. in 1991 in Psychology from Trinity College in Hartford Connecticut, and received her J.D. in 1995 from the University of Connecticut School of Law.

She is a member of the Georgia Bar Association and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).  She also is an inactive member of the Connecticut Bar Association.
