David Williams

David Williams has extensive experience in a wide variety of complex real estate transactions, including the acquisition, sale and development of large commercial real estate assets and real estate portfolios; the representation of developers and lenders in connection with closing and restructuring secured loan transactions; the formation of real estate funds; and the structuring and restructuring of partnerships and limited liability companies.

Prior to joining Sheley & Hall, P.C., Mr. Williams was a partner at King & Spalding LLP for 11 years and a partner at Seyfarth Shaw LLP for 2 years. Mr. Williams began his career at Barack, Ferrazzano, Kirschbaum & Nagelberg, a boutique real estate law firm in Chicago.

Mr. Williams is an adjunct professor at Emory University Law School and serves as the chairman of the board of directors of the non-profit "Fugees Family, Inc." based in Clarkston, Georgia.

Mr. Williams received his B.A. in 1982 in French & German from Oxford University in the United Kingdom, and he received his J.D. in 1990 from the University of Chicago Law School.

He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Atlanta Bar Association
