Robert L. Rearden

Counsel

Robert Rearden is Counsel with Sheley & Hall, P.C.   Mr. Rearden’s practice focuses on the representation of owners and developers in connection with the acquisition, sale and financing of real estate assets and on the representation of investors in structuring real estate equity investments and joint ventures.  Mr. Rearden also has experience representing lenders and other financial institutions in the financing of real estate assets and in general workout matters.
In additional to his real estate practice, Mr. Rearden has significant public finance experience and has represented companies, underwriters and other financial institutions in connection with municipal bond transactions for the development of both public and private projects.
Representative transactions include:

  • Represented large U.S. institutional investor in structuring joint ventures with various developers for the acquisition and development of multi-family housing developments around the Southeastern U.S.
  • Represented large Southeastern U.S. developer in various acquisition and development projects in Georgia and North Carolina
  • Represented private real estate investment fund in multiple debt financings for office and retail projects around the United States
  • Represented U.S. auto manufacturer in the disposition of assembly plant outside of Atlanta, Georgia
  • Represented U.S. real estate company in the acquisition of $60,000,000 industrial property portfolio in North Carolina

Prior to joining Sheley & Hall, P.C., Mr. Rearden was Counsel with King & Spalding LLP as a member of the Real Estate and Real Estate Capital Markets practice group.

 
Mr. Rearden received his B.A. from The University of North Carolina in 1993 and graduated from Emory University School of Law in 1998.
He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and Atlanta Bar Association.
